HOME MY STORY
My name is Amee Perry and I am 37 years old. I am happily married and have 4 children, ages range from 9 months to 10 years. 9 weeks after the birth of my daughter doctors discovered a large tumor on my brain. After removing a large portion of the tumor the doctors diagnosed me with stage 2 Astrocytoma brain cancer. I am trying to raise $100,000 to receive advanced specialized treatment at a cancer center in Texas.
WHY "MUFFINS FOR MOMMY" ?
Amee's 10 year old niece wanted to do something special for her Aunt "MeeMee" so she and her brother went door to door in their neighborhood selling homemade muffins to help earn money for the next phase of Amee's treatment. Amee was brought to tears by the love of her neice and nephew and by their efforts. They decided to name Amme's fundraiser "Muffins for Mommy".

My Story
MY NAME IS AMEE AND I HAVE BRAIN CANCER...
Ever since I was a little girl all I ever wanted when I grew up was to be a wife and mother. After meeting my handsome husband11 years ago my dream of having a family came true.We currently have 4 beautiful children. Each one of them is so unique in their own way. It has truly been a blessing to watch them grow into the beautiful spirits they are. While pregnant with Baby Lilee, our fourth child, I started to have horrible headaches. I attributed this to the news of our precious baby girl only having one functioning kidney. The doctors said there was too much stress on the other kidney and might lead to kidney failure altogether. She would need emergency surgery right after she was born. This was devastating news to our family. The headaches got worse. In April 2011 I blacked out in our hallway while holding my new baby in my arms. A strong feeling came over me to get to the doctor immediately, something is wrong. We received the horrific news that I had a massive tumor on the right side of my brain. The mass was so large that the pressure it was causing was leading to seizures and maybe death. It had to be removed. On June 15th I entered the hospital with so much faith. I had to make it through this surgery. I couldn't leave behind my precious children. My sweet husband wouldn't make it without me. Many MANY prayers were said on my behalf and I attribute my quick recovery from the surgery to the support of my family, friends, and church. Now, because they weren't able to remove the entire tumor I am faced with Stage 2 Astrocytoma brain cancer. My survival is at best 7 years. My family, friends, and I have started a non-profit organization to raise $100,000 for me to receive treatment from a specialist in Texas who has had tremendous success with CURING brain cancer.I want to live for the most precious thing on earth, my family! Thank you for your support.
